Child Psychotherapy
About Gestalt Therapy for Children and the type of therapy I offer:
I work in a cozy space filled with games, stuffed animals, and music. As a mother of two teenagers, I genuinely enjoy working with children. I am a creative person, and I use drawing, play, and movement as my main tools during sessions.
I want children to look forward to coming to see me, in a safe and trusting environment. Together, we share moments of respect, wonder, sadness, anger, and joy.
I foster a welcoming environment where children are guided at their own pace in Gestalt Therapy, using creative tools such as play and drawing.
The child is their own guide in therapy. This means they share what they want to share at their own pace within a trusting relationship. During the sessions, we discover together how to move forward in a careful and respectful way to make the changes they need in their life.
As an essential part of my training as a child therapist, I have reflected on my own childhood and adolescence, observing the impact they have had on my personal development and my familial and emotional relationships. I believe this process has greatly enriched me as a therapist and helps me support children in such a vulnerable space with a compassionate perspective.
